Do you suffer from brain fog, attention-deficit disorder, anxiety, or depression? Or have you been diagnosed with hypertension, cardiovascular disease, or Type II Diabetes? Do you want relief from one or more of these problems, but don’t want to take drugs or have surgery? Our guest in this episode, Joel Fuhrman, MD, will explain how you can get better without going to the hospital. He is a NY Times best-selling author and the creator of the nutritarian diet. In this episode, Dr. Fuhrman addresses the following:

  • What is the most evidence-based diet for optimizing mental and physical health?
  • Which types of studies on nutritional science are the most credible?
  • What is the nutritarian diet?
  • What is a good first step for those who want to improve their mental and physical health?
  • What is the best diet for treating fertility problems like polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS)?
  • How does a plant-based, whole food diet compare to one that includes lots of animal products?
  • What does the evidence say about the ketogenic (“keto”) diet and health/longevity?
  • Where can a food-addicted client go to learn and practice better lifestyle choices?
  • Can a person do a medically-supervised fast at the Eat to Live Retreat Center in San Diego?
